Increasing your Maple Grove home's curb appealRemember the 60-second rule: That's all the time you have to create a winning first impression when buyers pull up to your home. I would suggest taking a picture of the front of your house. Does it look like a home you would want to take a closer look at? Here are some simple and inexpensive ways to maximize your home's curb appeal. * Keep the grass cut and remove all yard clutter, remember to pick up after pets. * Weed and apply fresh mulch or rock to flower beds. * Apply fresh paint to wood fences. Chipping or peeling paint is an eye sore. * Clean windows inside and out. Don't forget the window sill. * Power wash the home's exterior. This is an inexpensive way to increase curb appeal. * Ensure all gutters and downspouts are firmly attached and functioning. * Buy a new welcome mat. * Paint and tighten loose hand railings. * Place potted flowers near the front door. I would make it a colorful selection of pansies. * Update outside light fixtures. Sometimes just a fresh coat of paint or cleaning will do the trick. * Paint the front door. See the RESA report to decide on the right color. Contact me, Karen Pelkey
